I have to wonder if they're always in a one-up game to see who can show the most hosed up, depraved poo poo to the Americans just for the reactions. You know, like American servicemembers.

I saw a lot of slightly chubby chicks with really hairy snatches from the Iraqi Army guys showing us on their phones. I miss going on patrol and driving by the women's college in Baghdad. Some neighborhoods in my sector girls in their twenties would pop their heads out their windows and wave and smile to us and be like "heeeeyyyy!" in English all flirtatious and poo poo. Those were some of the good memories, along with the guy that would bring his daughters out to see us and wave, we'd always bring them toys and candy Also soccer balls. When inevitably one of the boys would act like a little shithead and hit one of the girls to steal whatever we gave them, we'd bribe another one of the boys to go sucker punch the other boy and bring the stuff back to the girls.

We also had a tiny private we called Butters, because he looked just like Butters from South Park. They wanted to buy him from us.

Best Friends posted:for the Marine Corps, the 7 ton (all purpose truck) and the M777 155mm howitzer are both very good. Especially the 7 ton. It's an absolute beast. You, I like you. The MTVRs are so beast that I think it was india or lima battery was testing the 777's back in late 03, early 04 the ride was so smooth the tube watch fell asleep, driver flipped the gun and didn't notice for the better part of a mile. It's also easier to work and maintain than the army's LMTV. Stupid flip cabs. That thing, is the M198, it's what the 777 replaces. 777 Weighs about a quarter to a third less because it's a titanium upper and lower carriage instead of aluminum. Still a 199 cannon barrel, same 155 that's in paladins and such but the weight difference plus the MTVR 7 tons being built with poo poo like the 198 in mind meant it could beast mode through asphalt and sand while dragging a flipped gun. Didn't get stuck like the 5 tons either.

I dunno, M4s are pretty fine. Also ACOGs. Link-16 needs (and is getting/got) upgrades, but that poo poo is OP vs. 3rd gen forces.

Link-16 is great in a wonderfully permissive environment.

The only weapon I fired that I felt kinda sucked was the M9. The M16A2, A4 and M4 were all fine, the M2 was always fun, only issues it will ever seem to have are due to poo poo maintenance (which I was normally in charge of, so that's on me) or it being a million years old. The 249 was neat, but they only let me shoot it using 30 round mags which seemed to defeat the purpose but w/e. I'm sure the HK416 is nicer and that gas pistons are the way to go, but to be fair I never had a single issue with a well maintained weapon in any facet
