for reals tho everybody should have at least a decent quality hunting knife and be comfortable with it. they're far less expensive than a gun and there's next to no regulations about owning them.


unless you're unfortunate enough to live in NYC, then you need a signed letter from the mayor to buy anything more aggressive than a spoony straw from 7-11
