Killing off non-characters for publicity is gross to me. Conveniently, that's also the nameless extra who the least conforms to modern Simpsons' pseudo-realism style with his cartoonish hair. I don't know how the rest of the episode portrays it either, but it sounds like a prime example of the Simpsons being weirdly sentimental about everything because the show itself is old when the core of what the show was built on was bitter and cynical. Lenny, Carl, and Homer have always been terrible friends, Moe is kind of not even a friend because as a crooked bartender his main occupation was getting cash out of them. When was the first time they squeezed them into the dynamic of a movie about a group of buddies?

Watching a classic memed bit and surprised me how it's an early seasons episode and feels a bit weird yet still in character for Bart and Lisa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp-N_9fJL6g Like it starts with them arguing, but they play off each other, sharing ideas and building on them, and still true to their core characters as Bart is subversive and Lisa is intellectual. And Lisa still enjoys a cheesy one liner.

Yeah it was very forgettable. There was a topical Boeing joke. A joke about how parking at Disney is bad. The animation was all over the place. Julie Kavner sounds awful, and even my wife who never really grew up a fan even reacted
