Why are these threads always the lowest point of the Simpsons, why not the highest point? At least we could get a laugh out of clips instead of stabbing head pain from the 5 botched abortions linked in the OP. Also you could check out Naked Gun's start with Police Squad! It also had "He is our leader. He seized power in a bloodless coup- all smothering." Even when the later seasons started going down for overall stories they had some memorable lines. By the looks of the op videos I doubt they can even do that now.
