this is a very good thread also the exact point the simpsons changed irrevocably for me is the part of trash of the titans where the trash is bursting up around town or whatever and the corpse of rodd and todds pet rabbit they had just buried shoot up out of the ground and they scream. It just seemed like a really hosed up, mean spirited joke that was really out of step with anything the show had done before

it's amazing how horrible the line readings and audio mix are for the Bart's (completely unnecessary) lines at the beginning of the tik tok video and also all the completely unnecessary and distracting gags walking into frame during the homer live thing. just reeks of a lack of confidence

The best line in the movie was when homer was trying to hold up some truck's progress by making a lovely yield sign that said "Yeld" and the guy riding shotgun in the truck chides the driver for obeying all the "yeld, sop and one vay signs"
