In my experience you have to come at it from a place of positivity. Put on the Rocky soundtrack and go run or do some push ups. Keep thinking that you're bad rear end enough to conquer it.

get some momentum going and set a goal. start with a week, then a month, then six months, then a year. it sounds cheesy but once you have enough time banked up its easy to say no and keep up your "high score" i'll be at a year this month and i don't want to throw that away for anything just be serious about it and make sure you're doing it because you want to
