my favorites movie of his is The Cable Guy no joke. i feel that movie is really well done and rewatching it shows new things. Also the cable guy is a legitimate terrifying psychopath

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj259Pi_vrA Cable guy trailer. I think it was just a departure from Carreys other roles and that's what got people to dislike Cable Guy. He did ILC and Ace Ventura and the Mask and dumb and Dumber and people expected a movie where Jim Carey is dumb and kind of an rear end in a top hat but basically a good person and that's not what Cable Guy is. He cut his hair and dyed it dark. Even the trailer kind of downplays how far the Cable Guy goes to keep it more in tune with his earlier movies. The movie is really funny but it's still about an abused lonely child who grew up to be a damaged sociopath desperately seeking a friend. I really like The Cable Guy (1996)
