I got into them pretty late, admittedly (around the release of IMD) (though I'd heard a few of their songs before that like Smack My Bitch Up, Firestarter and I seem to remember one of the songs from Always Outnumbered being in one of the old Need For Speed games), but it's insane to me how ahead of their time they were and still are. Pendulum were one of my favorite bands for a while and they went through a phase where they were straight up trying to be The Prodigy (they even had Liam on a track), but even they couldn't hit Prodigy's highs. Their remix of Voodoo People's loving sick though, and was a blast to see live when I saw them play it in '09: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zspHh51AhoA I wish I could see The Prodigy live one day.
