So I guess if you wanted to calculate how glacial the pace is, you could map out how many 1k+ page chat threads it's taken us to get to the point where Tomo and Jun go on what they won't acknowledge is a first date

Disliking it is one thing, descending upon its thread to shitpost is another. I have no idea why tomochan elicits such a volatile reaction from chat thread posters but boy folks get worked up over tomochan not being perfect. Now that the go-to place to read it is gone, what's the new place to read it daily?

Tomo-chan is fun, but has a sort of Nisekoi thing of everybody getting their characters settled in early and then just sitting there. We all want things to progress, but the mangaka still has stories in mind to tell before then. Plus, the central conceit of Tomo-chan is "Tomo confessed to Jun and he didn't get it." If things actually progressed past that, the whole thing would have to be retooled. It seems to be doing okay in its niche right now; if the audience gets tired of it, maybe then they'll go for broke.
