It's really amazing how complicated a simple game becomes when we put our mind to it. There was a once programming competition based around the Prisoner's Dilema. Do you sell out, or trust the other player? (I can't source it, I heard it on a Radiolab episode though) Turns out the winning move was to assume the other guy is trustworthy until they aren't, then never trust them again.
