It's remarkable how many things can be dealt with by applying Xander to the problem. Not everything, because this is Conquest and he's not Ryoma, but an awful lot of things. Therefore, I fully expect the thread to bench him immediately.

Welcome to Ninja Caltrop Hell. Enjoy your stay. There were a few typos this update - Kotaro says "mimilady" a couple times, you spell it Kotoro a couple times. There's also "Sorry to rush you after such long journey", missing the a, and an "I fact" instead of in. Xander makes this level far, far easier, though unlike Takumi on the Birthright Mokushu level he's got weapon triangle disadvantage instead, but still. Also my last few playthroughs have been stupid challenge or gimmick runs and I haven't used Xander. Without him, this can get ugly.

I always am too impatient to do the stairdance and tend to bumrush it. It's a very bad idea. Lategame Conquest has ceased to gently caress around.

I've done it legit a couple times, but yeah, this map is nasty if you take it head-on. And it gets absurdly evil on Lunatic.

It's not a standard healtile, it only restores a few hp per turn so it's possible to outdamage it, but yes, it also gives a stupid amount of damage reduction to both sides, so you have to be able to deal at least a decent amount of damage and with an okay hitrate to actually chip him down, though skills and crits help tremendously.

Yeah, go back and read Chrom's speeches to Gangrel and Walhart, and compare with anything here. It's ugly. Everyone's getting a horrible image of Fates, and while they're completely correct when it comes to the story, it's worth defending the gameplay as shittons of fun, even as it has its own kinks and weird decisions. Conquest really could use a breather chapter or two, and Birthright could use some variety and twists, but the games are just fun to play.

There's a he/she and a him/her in the update, Tae. Hana is the first instance of characters having bizarre joining stats and times in Revelation. It gets far worse and far more egregious and is one of the things that really pissed me off a bunch. I hope you show off comparisons for all the characters.

Silas is one of the best characters in Revelation. Those bases - especially that HP value - make him a dependable unit that can take a lot of punishment. For all the characters that got the short end of the joining and bases sticks, Silas came out way ahead.

I've always found Selkie a lot more reliable than Kaden, statwise, regardless of who her mother is. She's on her own wavelength but at least she didn't grate on me, and some of her supports were surprisingly good.
