It was funny that bioware got a lot of complaints with inquisition because the straight guy romance choices were going to be more nuanced than Manic Pixie Elf Dream Girl or Busty Porn-Star Bisexual Pirate Wench this time.quote:This is just truth. The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption both have really bad gameplay. The only reason people like those games is for their stories...but if you like a good story then watch a movie or TV show or read a book. Why are you even playing a game?

I get thinking things through and weighing options but come on, it's a very simple game and there's usually only a handful of options. Really in most cases you should know what your move is going to be right as your turn starts.

As I age and take on responsibilities of career and family I have exponentially less time and energy to engage in video games, which were once unironically very dear to me. With every release that once I would have been excited about but now don't even think about purchasing, with every steam or GoG purchase I never install, with every game dev kickstarter campaign I back and never check again, I drift further slowly from any involvement in a culture which was formative and precious to me. Games now seem flashy and noisy and pandering and I don't understand them at all.

If Dark Souls is so hard why has everyone I know, even the shittiest gamers who can barely finish 1 megaman level, beaten it? I legit know 0 people who have played it and not beaten it. Hard games are ones you CANT beat, not ones you lose at a couple of times. Speaking of megaman, why do people say its hard? Just jump over the holes/spikes and shoot.

Contrary to what that dude said a few pages ago Super Mario Land 2 is the best Mario game released in ages, probably until 3D Land or World (which both own so hard, seriously they're great). Yeah SML2 is hamstrung by the small screen but what it loses in sheer screen resolution it more than makes up for with character. Each level feels like a unique place instead of a different configuration of bricks against the same background - you end up running around in a whale's guts, climbing a giant tree from the inside, exploring a giant house, and fighting an alien in zero g in space. Also the music owns. Super Mario Land 1 is also interesting and has unique seeming levels but it controls like poo poo and half the sprites are completely unrecognizable. Still, it's worth playing for the vehicle levels, because for whatever reason there were vehicle levels in that Mario game and they were way better than the regular levels.
