Thesis: Strife is the best Doom-like and was a trailblazer for the whole RPG/FPS fusion genre.

Antithesis: Voice acting is harmful in open world games since it necessarily shrinks your world (or makes the inevitable repetitive sameness much more "in your face")

Synthesis: Deus Ex is the best game ever made.
