I don't like retro gaming and despite growing up with both have no desire to play a nes or snes game again with the exception of playing A Link to the Past every five years or so.

It was funny that bioware got a lot of complaints with inquisition because the straight guy romance choices were going to be more nuanced than Manic Pixie Elf Dream Girl or Busty Porn-Star Bisexual Pirate Wench this time.quote:This is just truth. I bought the original bulletstorm, and would love to play it, but it's Windows Live automatic on even in single player, and Windows Live doesn't exist anymore. None of the workarounds seem to work for me, though admittedly I didn't try very hard and just moved on to one of the other dozens of games I bought but have't played yet. Oh and instead of patching it out like all the other Windows Live games did, they left it in and will graciously let you pay $60 to buy and unfucked version of the game. Thanks, Epic Games.

The development of regenerating health was overall a good thing because it allows for every encounter to potentially go full out and throw everything at you.

Doom 2016 had the compromise system of "You can have lots of health, but it's inside monster bodies and you have to fight for it." which I also liked.

All the extra horsepower from the new consoles is being put toward reaching a resolution that the vast majority of people don't even have, instead of toward better graphics. And most people's TVs are probably too small to even be able to tell the difference between 1080 and 4K. They won't be able to do 4k at decent frame rates anyway. A Geforce 1080 struggles with 4k at 60 frames per second with all the bells and whistles turned on in AAA games. Even a 1080 ti or a Titan can only come close to a steady 60 frames per second.
