We had the Sunshine Skyway Bridge collapse back in 1980, I remember as a kid when it happened being horrified and then freaking out every time we drove over it after that. Driving right by on the northbound turned north/south span and seeing the gap knowing that a bunch of people fell and died right there was spooky as hell. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunshine_Skyway_Bridge#1980_collapse The bridge was rebuilt and is pretty cool now, I once got a flat at the very top at night and it was unnerving to say the least. Back in Atlanta, it would have been bitchin' to sneak the Jeep into the old abandoned prison farm. I did that once on a motorcycle at night, and it was weird when I realized, "holy poo poo, this is an orchard!"
