I know. If Trump can actually come through with what he wants to do, revitalize the American economic base, these young people will have a better life than I had, even though they are most vehemently opposed to it.

Again, just to be super clear, I highly, HIGHLY doubt he'll make it all 4 years.

a 4 year toxx means next to nothing really but gently caress it: :toxx: mods ban me if Trump serves 4 years and runs for re-election. Tell Lowtax to set an alert 3.75 years from now on his iPhone

Besides being paranoid and missing the point entirely of why people don't like Trump, it's just hopelessly naive to believe he could improve things, being completely incompetent and lying all the time.
Seriously, his talent is convincing people he knows what he's doing and apparently it's working.

War between the US and Russia is something that's been in the works for years now because every time a nation plans to break away from the US dollar, they are targeted and eliminated- Saddam's and Gaddafi's administrations were working on abandoning the dollar and establishing new gold-backed currency for the Middle East and Africa, respectively. Russia made their plans for economic independence clear a decade ago, possibly even starting up a new joint currency with China, and America has been mobilizing its population for war with them since.

A Russia-friendly executive administration probably couldn't do anything to prevent such a war since those decisions, ultimately, lie with America's financial institutions. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Trump administration and their Russian ties were all fabricated specifically to give the US military an excuse to officially start a war.

In this era of global trade, you either play by America's rules or you get wiped out.

This is correct! There is a long history as well. When the USSR felt threatened by German fascism in the 1930's, they fully expected Western nations (like Great Britain, France, and the United States) to join them in opposition. They misread the Western nations, though, because financial powers in the U.S. and England actually supported the anti-socialism and anti-labor polices of Nazi fascism. The eventual alliance of the Soviet Union to western allies only happened when the fascist axis nations resulted in a genuine threat. Even after the U.S. joined the war against Germany, many American industrialists remained sympathetic to Hitler because he killed a bunch of socialists, Jews, and communists. The United States was always antagonistic toward Russia/USSR because the U.S. government/corporations feared the spread of socialism and labor strength.

To this day, Russians still recall how Western nations abandoned them decades ago. Internationally, they have always felt "slighted" by the U.S.

That's my interpretation, anyhoo.

Why do hippies fail at 2 steps of logic?

1) Factories are still being moved overseas so why are companies doing this?

2) If there weren't low skilled jobs here why are there so many illegal immigrants?
