I like how no-one on the left has figured out yet that the people who voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012 are the same people that voted for Trump in 2016. People are so desperate for a change, any change that whoever seems most likely to supply said change gets the vote. Obama's entire platform was hope and change but instead of changing anything he pissed away his time and opportunity propping up the status quo and shrugging his shoulders 'cause "those jobs aren't coming back". Trump is the wildcard candidate that promises change and seems to be doing a pretty good job of it so far. Populism is on the rise across the West, the winds of change are blowing and previously 'fringe' political groups are gaining traction all across Europe. Anyone that wants to dismiss this as some sort of sudden resurgence of racism after literal decades of tolerance and progress needs to take a step back and realise what an idiot they are being. Its not racist to wish for a change and to wish for your government to take your needs as a natural born tax-paying citizen into account ahead of some multiculturalism agenda that is eating into your quality of life. The ridiculous overblown melodrama surrounding Trump, as fun as that is to read about and see on the news can really start dying down now. "Oh no the orange man has tiny hands and said a bad word in private, better weepily protest and post melodramatic tweets about my woke 8 year old for the next EIGHT years". Get a loving grip, by all accounts, Trump is undoing a lot of the bad poo poo Obama left in place to prop up the status quo and at the same time (golden)showering us in a deluge of lols as he exposes the biased media and hypocritical champagne socialists that make up the left.
