And the people who will benefit from jobs opening up if manufacturing moves stateside are not in trump's constituency, they'll be the people maintaining, and designing the robots. Typically the technician positions will require an associate's degree at least.

Defending those jobs is a band-aid solution, automation as a driver of job loss is just going to get stronger and stronger. We need job retraining programs and eventually basic minimum income.
