The announcement came late at night so there's been no follow-up to this at all. Hasn't stopped Kadokawa's stock price from going into a free-fall though, so I expect there to be something before lunch if not breakfast. Also it's now Tatsuki's birthday.

One of Kadokawa's executives posted some comments about the issue a couple hours ago. Here's the gist of it: - Kadokawa is only part of the Kemofrie committee (hence his reluctance to speak until discussing things). - He sees Tatsuya as having a major role in the franchise's success. - He regrets not noticing the fallout sooner. - There have been at least 2 meetings with Yaoyorozu since last week, and he noticed the committee's views and the studio's views are very different. - The main reason for the firing was conflicting viewpoints regarding copyright usage and some of Tatsuya's tweets. - He wants to continue talks with Yaoyorozu about where to go from here. https://twitter.com/HP0128/status/915071890648993792 Overall a more positive development than all we've been hearing lately.

Nothing was specified so it's hard to tell. Even if they are trying to salvage things, at least someone important realizes they screwed up. It still doesn't explain the unnecessary apologies from the voice actresses but...
