I don't get why this show has taken off like it has, but it's fun enough, and I'm always glad for things that produce gobs of fanart. 5 episodes in, my favorite Friends are Toki for her singing, Serval for her surprising dedication and positive attitude, and Jaguar for being such a helpful swimming kitty.

As WELCOME TO YOUKOSO JAPARI PARK ran relentlessly through my head today, the "youkoso" began to change into "yousoro," but apparently this hasn't occurred to anyone creative in the Japanese fandom, because not only is there not a Love Live Sunshine�Kemono Friends mashup on Nico Nico, there's not a single piece of fanart on pixiv tagged with both You and Kemono Friends. Very sad. :sigh:

I'm going to guess that + they're trying to take advantage of bottled-up demand. There's literally nothing kemofure for sale on the shelves right now, so anything, even a preorder, might get fans jumping at it. They're probably going to try to rush this thing through production faster than any nendo's ever gone before.
