I remember being in a Blockbuster near Halloween and someone put Evil Dead 2 on the 'show movies/previews/etc'. It WAS past 9 or so, but the film only made it to I think Ash chainsawing his girlfriend's head before it got shut off. I have to wonder who didn't know the details there.

Also, my first best friend stole my dad's wallet and got caught because he and another friend of his went and rented games on my father's Blockbuster account, including Final Fantasy III, which they then kept past due, which got our attention and ended up with the dumb kid getting caught red handed on the security camera.

I also remember being REALLY young and finding a mom and pop's video store's porn section which was behind double doors ala a saloon. Being like...5, I only registered "Saloon doors! I need to walk dramatically through them like cowboys do!" and did it a few times. My very young brain was incapable of comprehending what I saw though: all I remember now is knocking the doors open and the most vague, fuzzy memory of a blur of pink and girl's faces.

Finally there was another video store (might have been the same one) where in and out movies were indicated by these little plastic tags stuck on velcro, and if they were out the tag was gone. I remember for some reason there were two color tags, red and blue; red tag films could be rented by anyone but blue tag films could only be rented by people who had an address in a specific neighborhood (where I didn't live) and I was always cross because there were a few 'blue tag only' films in the kid's section I could never watch and hence my childish curiosity was deeply irked.
