nrook posted:the most important lesson taught to young programmers by java is that programming is not supposed to be fun. it's a job. if you're having fun you're probably writing bad code Java doesn't become mind numbingly awful and verbose until you start using it in a professional environment though. Where everything requires at least a couple of interfaces and huge XML spring bean definitions injecting poo poo everywhere.
