DoubleNegative posted:The quest would be a lot more interesting if Snotspill gave a different unique item as a reward for bringing him the "magic banner." Instead, you lose out the best early-game helmet, and a strong contender for one of the best helmets in the first difficulty mode. When would the decrease in armor rating it gives be a problem? Or what does it affect.

True, in Titan Quest, because every mob drops their weapon on death, the ground gets littered with useless semi-broken swords that are barely worth their material. On the other hand, it's not really a problem because the game does have a feature to simply filter out/make unclickable all those worthless drops, and that's enabled by default. In the end it works out as just a nice component to the atmosphere, in that equipment of the fallen really does not just disappear, and that the dropped weapons are not just part of the corpse model, but an object in its own right. I thought it was cool.

It seems so ridiculous that when you find whatever magic anvil, the blacksmith can only use it for you once and then never again. It's not like the anvil should break or lose its powers is it? Just let me craft a new drat weapon when I want to, take payment for it or whatever, but don't just stash that magic anvil and forget all about it.
