Yesterday's coffee is fine at room temp or reheated. Better with some ice cubes but I can take it or leave it. If you throw out yesterday's pot you suck and are a picky prissy little bitch.

I like that Something Awful does not have the same gross obsession with sex as other parts of the internet and it's nice to be able to post stuff without people forcing their weird fetishes into every thread but at the same time I find it really tiresome how goons will trip over they own dicks to dogpile on anyone who does try to talk about gross sex stuff and the inevitable string of posters who have to strenuously reassure the thread that they do not have hosed up and wrong opinions on sex and are definitely not attracted to teenage girls or anime babes or furries or whatever the gently caress. Reddit is a giant website with over 100 million unique users a month. It is not a 'den of MRAs' or whatever dumb poo poo goons say. You can find people with whatever opinion you want on that giant loving website but you have to specifically search for poo poo like that. As far as politics go, I only really care about things that affect me and my ability to live a decent, happy life with minimal stress, and I vote accordingly. I don't care about the rest of the world or social issues that I have no involvement with. I feel like other people don't understand this opinion. Edit: to be clear, I did not vote for Trump. I want better environmental protection and social healthcare and Trump represents neither. I also like immigrants, which trump hates.

I think that genetically altering organisms of all kinds to create better organisms is a good thing that society should not hold back. I believe that "playing god" is the right thing to do and can do anything from erasing genetic disorders such as sickle-cell anemia, to curing diseases and conditions like Alzheimer's and paralysis, to burning fat and maintaining muscle with far less effort, to bringing back extinct species and hardening existing ones against climate change.

Animals going extinct is literally meaningless in most situations and environmentalists anthropomorphize far too much. The environment isn't alive, it doesn't care that there are now 2 species of frogs in the pond instead of 3. It wouldn't care if it was a lifeless hellscape. Other animals certainly don't care if they exist or not as they aren't sentient. Extinction only matters in the context of how it affects humans. Like if a crop went extinct or some sort of fungus that does cool poo poo to your body. That's the sort of environmentalism we need to focus on.

People do get emotional about it because while it may not meet your bar for being "sentient" it is still life and preserving it when possible is a worthwhile thing. You'd have to be a heartless moron to not prevent the extinction of a species if we are able to. Why wouldn't we? It's morally wrong to see that humanity is causing things to go extinct and not try and do something about it, no matter how cute or ugly or unintelligent the thing is.
