The Hudsucker Proxy is a pretty good movie, despite the reviews

I was rewatching Mad Men awhile back and it took everything I had to get through season 5. After the first episode of season 6, I turned it off and never returned. I think the long break between seasons 4 and 5 ruined something, because after season 4 it just doesn't seem nearly as good.

Which season was the one where Pete got in a fought on the train and then later the British guy? MM had a season that was both the best drama AND comedy on TV

That was season 5 and I remembered that season being amazing as well, but when I rewatched it, there seemed to be a lot more lovely boring moments than those two awesome moments.

I'll have to rewatch it, I just know that Madmen had this out-of-the-blue amazing season, possibly it was the season when they all came in on the weekend and did LSD? I know it was over when Ted and Pete were in California because when Pete had a temper tantrum about Ted having the better office and good-guy-Ted offered it to him I remember thinking "drat, this feels like x season, when things were funny!"

Edit: and after "The Negron Complex", before they turned the TV guy into a creep

I think a lot of the people who make a big stink over how lesbians won't suck their dick, and how offensive and transphobic that is, etc, are rapist types, and no different from people who think it's offensive that a girl won't suck their dick because they helped her move, or helped do a paper, or whatever

Are there really garbage people that believe this? That people who don't want to have sex with them should, lest they be a phobic?!

That whole "prima nocta" thing from Braveheart was hosed up as hell. Could you imagine being God's chosen king and having to have sex with all those filthy Scottish hags? Gag me with a spoon!!

I don't know how common it was actually practiced, but I feel terrible for the couples this happened to.

Why would a noble (who is beforehand theoretically okay with rape) wanna gently caress filthy peasants and simultaneously royally piss off all his subjects? Just get a hooker. The entire concept is flawed.

Yeah I had never really looked into it, but I always thought it was a dumb way to risk a peasant's revolt, I'm glad to hear it's Medieval STDH
