My idea for the new byob project is to pick a random poster from another forum and be really nice to them for a specific amount of time. Not fake intrusive nice as a gag but just very pleasant in a grounded and realistic way. Answering their questions correctly and comprehensively, giving them genuine constructive criticism on their art pieces, complimenting them on their selfies in the waywt thread, etc. Interested in hearing feedback on this idea |

I will admit the similarities to gang stalking are the biggest problem with my idea and the main reason I think it needs work. I don't think we should give up on this, though - this has the potential to be the biggest byob project i've started since the simu-cum project

We can pick a poster from another forum who seems bummed out and give them a new AV, some gang tags, and refer to them by username in a good, positive way in discussions on the forum they post the most on, such as "Hey, let's ask Username_BYOB_Project what they think about that idea! I bet they have good suggestions!" and like that. After the predetermined time we come back here and wait for them to follow back where they will be welcomed with open appendages but shunned forevermore elsewhere.

Stop acting like this idea is a joke and start being nice to someone. I recommend quoting them and saying "this post made me laugh." I think this sounds like an excellent idea. It would be interesting to see what effect, if any, it has on their posts or general attitude to have someone being non-intrusively supportive of them. Unfortunately I worry anybody being nice to someone outside of this forum is immediately a cause for suspicion or the assumption of sarcasm, but I think the support could be crafted in such a way as to not to trip any red flags. Like, instead of being like 'Whoa! guys! this poster is totally our latest GBS superstar!!!', just like emptyquoting them or taking time out of your schedule to lol at their jokes. |
