I need to re-evaluate my experiment. Having the 5/16ths on bucket spiles and the .244 on tubing invalidates data collected during or after windy conditions.

Whee! I'm using 5/16" spiles and gallon milk jugs on the ground. But we still have a foot of snow which I've been packing around the jugs, which keeps things anchored.

On Monday I had 5 gallons of sap from 5 trees, all in 24 hours. I was all set to tap a few more trees, but that's more than I want to boil. Our forecast looks similar, so should be back running today through the weekend.
