I have considered making a thread for harsh critique because I always want people to tear my poo poo apart but most people are too nice This is even worse in person because I live in the Midwest, critiques in school were a passive aggressive nightmare

I dunno why people hate smooth surfaces for drawing so much, maybe it helps that I always wear a smudge glove when using tablet monitors, even my iPad Pro, since it helps my skin not catch and stutter on the glass which I’m sure isn’t as much of a problem on a textured surface. Your drawings remind me I need to look for some life drawing opportunities near me, I’m sure there are some somewhere in the twin cities but I really hope there’s something not at the university cause it’s a pain in the rear end to get to

I don't even care if they are a weirdo who's just doing an exhibitionist thing if they can pose decently

doodling some fake rpg characters. Making color choices is hard when you can't undo them, but I appreciate how drawing with markers stops me from loving around endlessly

Anyone got recs for people who stream/record themselves drawing? I like to watch people draw and am a little tired of the sycra/istabrek/other super MTG concept art style people who stream all the time but dont know many other illustrators worth watching

I've never enjoyed using sketchbook idk why other people like it so much other than being free My advice is buy clip studio paint when it's on sale for <$20 it's like 90% as fully featured as photoshop at a tiny fraction of the price of actually buying it, or way more convenient than pirating at a pretty small fee. Oh also probably buy a huion 610 pro, if that's still the go to budget friendly tablet

I would bounce pretty quick if I started dating a guy and they did that to their ex The angle/perspective on the horns and glasses are off giving it that flat 3/4 view family guy look, the back of her head and hat are too small by like 50%, her nose is really big in relation to her mouth which would normally be fine as a stylistic thing but you do it in like every drawing of a face so I think it’s just a bad habit you have. You’ve never responded to the other times I’ve given you constructive feedback but now that I know I’ve got your attention maybe you’ll actually register this

You don't have to take my advice as important, but that is like what literally everyone says to dismiss critique "oh this was just a sketch, it wasn't supposed to be good". You took the time to draw every hair on her head individually and carefully blend the shading on her cheek, but not the time to do more construction or get the proportions right, in which case I'll critique your priorities for the sketch. You don't need to have a snapshot in front of you to notice those basic issues, you post a lot of drawings so I expect that you have a decent amount of experience drawing people. They're also mistakes that you have made before and continue to make with your most recent sketch; I don't expect you to redo a daily sketch just because I critiqued it but you might want to at least apply that advice to things you do in the future if you want to improve and shake bad habits (including also that you do the same facial expression on a lot of the women you draw, that kinda stoned look with the small smile and slightly closed eyes) sorry i don't have any obligatory sketches for this slap I'm slow as poo poo at drawing
