Now that I'm done with Nier I want to play more fighting games again. I'm kind of curious about BlazBlue but I'm hesitant to spend 60 dollars on it. I'm down for some Guilty Gear or Chaos Code tonight, though.

You can turn the settings way down. You do want it to run at constant 60 fps though, if you get any frame drops at all it can desync you with your opponent.

If you're talking about accessibility then Guilty Gear has a lot of tutorials that cover everything from basic gameplay to specific matchup knowledge all built into the game. The game also seems to be growing in playerbase since the Dragon Ball fighter was announced. If you're talking about like, I don't know, being able to pick up the game immediately and own people then there isn't a game like that, sorry. There's also a huge library of games on fightcade that you can play for free and unless you're in a Street Fighter or King of Fighters room where most people are lunatics you'll generally find helpful people who just want to play games with you.

I think the only system differences between Sign and Revelator are you can't do charge blitz and you can't do burst supers in Sign, and of course you don't get any of the characters added in Rev or Rev2. The character balance and gameplay wasn't radically shifted from Sign to Revelator if I recall, Rev2 is what really altered the characters.

Sweep is always down + Dust, with the exception of one or two characters. They'll always cause knockdown when they connect. Super basic Guilty Gear strategy is to always try and confirm a hit into a knockdown, and comboing into sweep is a really easy way to do that.

I'm not sure I understand the question. If you're asking "does Faust's sweep pop out in different places" the answer is no. Normals don't have variable hitboxes like that. You'll just have to get a feel on the range of it. If you're asking "in what situations would I use Faust's sweep" then I can't really provide an answer in good faith because I don't play Faust so I have limited knowledge on what his gameplan really is. All characters can combo into sweep by doing a basic gatling route like Punch > Kick > Slash > Hard Slash > Dust.

Blitz Shield requires you to hit Hard Slash + one other button besides dust. So if you hit Punch + Kick for instance you won't blitz shield at all but you'll do a punch normal (because punch has higher priority than kick). Dead Angle is what you describe except it can be any two buttons besides dust. Blitz uses 25 meter and Dead Angle uses 50.

I'm losing my mind waiting for Dragon Ball Fighterz. I've started watching Maximillian Dood videos on mute and watching him get KO'd by raw level 3 supers and dropping his combos 50 times a match while probably spouting epic swear words because I don't have any more media to consume.

It's an NRS game so it's probably really bad. Not that I've played it, but trust me when I say that NRS makes bad games that look terrible so you probably shouldn't pay any money for it.
