A Description of the Town of Quebeck in New-France, Lately added to His Britannick Majesty’s Dominions can be found in Collected Essays, Volume 4: Travel (or To Quebec and the Stars) and is well worth a read, as it is a hoot. Also, read Cool Air. It's pretty great.

This is wonderful.

I'm trying to remember a bit of sketch comedy along these lines, where a couple of investigators or something are going through an apartment looking for clues; one of them opens a drawer and finds a pistol, and the other asks "is it loaded?" So the first guy puts it in his (own) mouth and pulls the trigger a few times, then shrugs resignedly and they continue on.

Ring any bells for anyone?

Haha we had that exact same rocketship in the city park in Ukiah, CA. In fact it's still there, and my brother's two daughters go absolutely apeshit over it when they come to visit :3:

Context: Dude is apparently an American who is super proud of his Irish heritage and wants to let everyone know that Blue Lives Matter. He very obviously has no knowledge of the irish language and used a dictionary to translate 'Blue Lives Matter'.

The result is so incredibly bad, like really amazingly bad - it basically reads "Blue (the colour) dwelling (as in Kevin's dwelling) Matter (as in dark matter)".

Bonus Fun: even if he managed to accurately translate the phrase 'blue lives matter' into coherent irish, it would STILL mean 'Black Lives Matter' because for weird historical reasons black people are called blue people in irish!

Not even going to start on the utilikilt and hip-mounted e-cig holster.
