I remember in the 90's when Pavel Bure cheap shotted Churla coming across the defensive zone with the elbow to the side of the head. That was a great hit.

I've always liked the idea of removing the blue lines and negating offsides, but is there any reason to think it would actually increase scoring for the team rolling the cherry picker? Teams could do it now and park a guy just outside the blue line but don't do it.

ARI-COL-VAN-CGY-ARI-ARI-COL-NSH-WPG-FLA-CAR-COL

I really don't see any way they miss the playoffs with that schedule.

Because it's the Blues, Paul Stastny is now listed week-to-week with what is most likely an ankle injury. Luckily their schedule is easy, but this will make squeaking into 3rd in the Central a bit more difficult.

I still don't understand how the Avs are so terrible unless their players just quit. Varlamov wasn't hurt all year, the defense has a couple good players in EJ and Barrie, the offense should be lethal but isn't.

Then, with 2.5 seconds left, Sean Monahan tried to feed somebody in front of the net, and it bounced off a Blues player into the net. I felt bad for Jake Allen, he made some nice saves and did everything he could to force the shootout.

They also hosed up the few attempts they had earlier and basically refused to even shoot the puck. The Stars OT attempts are the only thing that I've seen that was worse.

Yak City has points in three straight and looks like he could be a useful 3rd liner next season for someone. I'd like it to be the Blues, but I imagine he wants more money than they'd be inclined to give him.

A sizeable contingent of Jets fans seem to think they'll protect Lowry over Perreault in the expansion draft because 'Lowry is 6'5' which pretty conveniently leaves out the fact that 6'5 Adam Lowry is a far worse hockey player than 5'10 Matthieu Perreault.

Perreault is on fire lately and his advanced statistics indicate he's a legitimate top line winger. I'll be so loving pissed if we gift him to Vegas.

Blues fans are doing this with Ryan Reaves and Magnus Paajarvi.
