 Something to justify the thread tag What the hell is cosplay? Cosplay, or costume play, is the act of dressing up as characters or people from fiction (or reality sometimes) for the sake of entertaining yourself and others, either at conventions, for photoshoots, or sometimes just for the internet cuz why not? And of course with any hobby, you have your low cost enthusiasts making do with what they can:  Your huge and obscenely expensive masters constantly pushing the craft:   The guys who have the perfect character to suit their bodies   The just plain bad:  And everything in between:      You mentioned conventions? Yep! Cosplayers are ubiquitous at conventions, so whenever a big one like Comic-Con, PAX, Magfest, Otakon, or Comiket roll around, everyone loves to unveil their brand spanking new costumes that they've put hundreds of hours/seconds into. If you attend, feel free to post your own photos, more content is always nice. Especially goon made.  So what can I post here? Cosplay, duh! Seriously though, pictures, videos, stories, things you built, whatever! Good, bad, weird, it's all good. If you wanna be nice, it's good to label stuff if you know what it's from just to help out other goons, but if you don't know and you think it's cool, awesome! Or if you don't have anything like that, discuss what's been posted with other goons! Just try to stay on topic and don't get weird. Speaking of... What shouldn't I post here? It doesn't need to be a strict rule or anything but if you can, post what the cosplay is. Some of that anime & video game stuff is striking in the craftsmanship but I'll be damned if I know who those characters are.
