I love the idea of open world games, but always found myself getting bogged in side quests and my interest petered out. BOTW, on the other hand, has kept my attention as if I were at gunpoint. Totally rapt.

Odd question It's not switch exclusive, but in a lot of pause menus for games I get a weird sound from my speakers on my 5.1 system. Sounds almost like the sound from an old record player when it encounters dust on the groove. Only happens in pause menus (likely when sounds are minimal) and happens in all systems I own. The dock is plugged into an hdmi hub into a Samsung audio system (then via hdmi into the TV). Any clues? Been happening for years.

Enjoying has been heroes but Jesus Christ could they have made the font any smaller and harder to read in docked mode? I got eye surgery last week and I'm literally having to stand next to a 60" TV to read the loving text

Zelda's font isn't huge, but it's designed so it's actually legible. Funnily enough it's easy to read in handheld mode; it's almost like they keep it the same physical size between modes and just scale up the rest of the screen

Bought Jackbox, great fun Only issue is that playing it kicks off my TV's power saving mode after a while, had to touch a joystick to stop it dimming the screen.

I couldn't care less about chasing graphics numbers but if they make it so you need to use the phone app for voice chat that's just idiotic. Unless they reroute sound through the app too, I guess? It would be a massive misstep, no matter if you were talking to useless pubbies or friends.

Got Mario Kart Figured I'd have a test race on the first cup on 50cc On the last lap I was so far ahead I got hit by three red shells, two blue shells and two lightnings. Still won, but lol never change MK

What does the thing that comes up at the end of individual races do? The thing that's got a counter X/6 next to it? I hit the button once and now it says 1/6 but I don't know what it's referring to? (i can try to be more vague if that's helpful )
