I do love that Aku is going insane as well. He's also talking to himself and feeling existential dread. A part of me thinks this series is going to end of a pretty dark note now.

In the case of the latter, this is among the few instances where male-pregnancy is portrayed in a children's cartoon.

Personally, the episode where Ashi finds out about Jack's past is SUPER fanservicy. Fun at parts, but the Demongo scene was pushing it. Felt like filler, though I get why they did it. They did it so she wasn't just puffing hot air when she saves Jack from himself. It could have been better paced. Maybe two episodes with it requiring more active partiptant on her part, instead of her being an observer? But, overall, still a solid revival.

Jonny Bravo was somewhat a negative commentary on PUAs, but it suffers a bit from the time it was made. I think it did a good job of establishing people like Johnny as vain, self-absorbed, dickwads, but it would sometimes do the "nice guy(tm)" thing. Ya know what I mean? It also could get confusing at time since it would sometimes introduce a bigger douche so Johnny was less doucey in comparison (like the musical episode, which strangely had its last song reaired constantly despite the joke being all the woman he tricked getting pissed and getting back at him).

Also, a greaser does kind of fit with their 70s kids getup. Man, thinking about it, Cartoon Network sure as hell liked crossovers, as far as cartoons go. I don't remember Nickelodon ever doing crossovers, but Cartoon Network sure did a few and some were weird as hell. Like Kids Next Door mixed in Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy with an Ed, Edd, and Eddy cameo. Did Jack ever do a crossover?

When she started using all the powers of Aku, my brother and I both said "time portal." The look on Aku's face was pretty priceless. I mean, the show finally fullfilled its promise: Jack got back to the past and undid the future that is Aku's. To make things bitter sweet, Ashi ceases to be, but Jack finds solace in knowing he saved the universe from oppression. Honestly, I had fun. The Gurren Lagann ending was certainly a way to do it.
