Here's what you sound like to me. It's June and you're sitting on a cinderblock wall at the edge of a parking lot behind a Piggly Wiggly. You're wearing vans and black jeans and a Misfits T-shirt, and Jenna is sitting next to you while Mark tries to learn how to do an ollie. There are black ants crawling into a hole near your left foot, and you turn to Jenna and you say "starting to lose patience with this dead gay forum. Good posters leave, bad posters multiply," but really what you want to tell Jenna is that you need a hug. But you don't. "Yeah," Jenna says, but she doesn't move any closer.

if a gay forum dies, is it really still gay? because if it's dead then it really isn't anything any more, is it, it's just a sort of nothingness, a nothingness that lingers in our minds. who would want to bang nothingness, much less another gay forum?
