There is that famous left-handedness graph where you see the prevalence of left-handedness increasing to a very steady state as bigotry becomes less intense. And now we assume that almost all left-handed people are openly left-handed.
Hopefully we will be able to do that for being trans someday, which is also when we will have empirical data for that hypothesis.
