I have noticed two downtimes over the past couple of weeks. It's pretty lovely.

Kado has a cool premise, but wow the woman scientist with the Fisher Price tablet is annoying. I'll give it a 3 episode test, but none of the characters are very interesting.

Feels like a blatant mashup of Shin Godzilla and Arrival so far.

I've watched 3 episodes of Kado and it still feels like a significantly inferior, more boring recreation of Arrival.

Kado, so far, seems to be a sociopolitical drama about hubris.

Shin Godzilla also came out last year and is a better story about that.

I liked episode 0 of Kado because the negotiator is a cool dude, but the stuff about alien contact is just a snooze fest for me.

Feels like a lot of the good shows this season aren't on Crunchyroll :(

I hope the heroine gets to pilot the mech in RE:Creators.

The show hits a great balance of self-aware absurdity and serious developments. I find myself sympathizing with the villains because they have reasonable perspectives and no infodump characters.

I like that the main dude has pretty much given up on saving the world and just wants to make some doomed people's lives better :gbsmith:

The designs are extremely boring and parts of the story are poorly explained, so I have pretty low expectations. But I enjoy the characters and like each episode, so I'll stick with it.
