Hi folks, it's your old pal Stymie here with a special message: don't be an rear end in a top hat and condemn people for their medical decisions, especially when faced with a serious diagnosis. It just makes you look judgemental and petty and that's not a good way to live.

Be a cool person and be supportive of them when they make choices that have no impact on you or your life but profound, long-lasting implications for their own lives. It's just the right thing to do.

people would be far less mocking if the only alternative to quackery was death. it wasn't. it was chosen over actual medicine that has a very high chance of success

Hi folks, it's your old pal Stymie here with another quick life lesson: don't judge people on their medical decisions in the absence of facts and without an understanding of their personal circumstances.

It may seem obvious to you with a lack of objective understanding of the nature of their illness or subjective empathy for the emotions they are experiencing but it's an awful lot harder when you're the person making the decisions.

You can call them bad decisions all you like, but don't be an rear end in a top hat about it and keep that poo poo to yourself. Everyone around you will thank you (well, they won't but the point is they hate you when you don't keep that poo poo to yourself).
