I've been playing Sonic 3 Complete the past few days. It's an amazing bugfix and customization hack for Sonic 3 and Knuckles. If you ever go back and play S3&K definitely use it.

One of the mania artists posted a drawing of Knuckles with a Hydrocity Zone background on Twitter then quickly changed it to a Flying Battery Zone background. Hydrocity confirmed

It's cool how Robotnik uses a volcano as a launchpad, and you can see the Death Egg throughout all of Lava Reef and Hidden Palace before it finally launches into Sky Sanctuary

The Death Egg 2 boss theme is incredible though. I hope we get at least one song like that in Mania even if it doesn't seem to be Tee Lopes' style.

If we were just talking about the original releases I'd probably agree. But the 2011 version of CD is so good that it overtook S3&K as my favorite. Right now my least favorite is probably Sonic 2 but they're all great games.
