yeah classic sonic in generations was alright as a platformer but you can tell that a lot of the physics were messed with for the sake of less ambiguous jumps. the 2d sections of unleashed and modern generations were good imo because you retain modern sonic's utility belt of moves like stomp, homing, slide, boost and wall jumps, which makes forking paths based on your choice of moves more interesting and faster paced.

i think its kinda cool how theyre finally canonizing cut content from sonic games, like sonic 1's cut air punch animation at stage clear and dust hill zone with mirage saloon.

The unleashed daytime formula is possibly the most fun ive ever had with sonic and im glad they are trying to keep at it. Hopefully theyll work out some of its worst parts
