Was there an attitude issue? I thought Ibe just hit his ceiling very early on. People were likening him to Sterling more out of hope than real belief. I think Rodgers publicly stated that Ibe could step up too, which didn't help matters. I guess they were both fast and useful on the flanks and black, but that's all I could see that made them similar. Sterling definitely showed more intelligence and intent in his movement and showed all that at a much earlier age. Sterling is also more fertile.

I don't know if there were any "steady" moments, he just seemed to get frustrated very easily.

Ibe had (has) a lot of talent but his footballing brain just never developed. When he first came into the team he could just blast by people with his pace and youthful exuberance and didn't run weird. However unlike Sterling (particularly in his last season with us) he has never developed his game - he has very little skill, and has a real lack of intelligence. So yes, we were wrong, Ibe wasn't better than Sterling.
