Just make background baseball part of your daily routine. Put the game on the tv/radio in the background while you're home doing whatever else you'd be doing.

You'll start to absorb it via osmosis and get hooked naturally.

Part of the issue as I understand it is that the detailed PitchFX charts we see after games aren't generated in real-time. The real-time systems are not currently accurate enough and still miss too many calls to sell the skeptics on it.

The difference is that pitching takes significantly more time and energy to excel in at the major league level then fielding does.
