While I find it hard to hate someone for saying "yep, nope not doing that" I also can't find sympathy for someone who isn't prepared.

I'm always torn, because on the one hand, if more people would step away from our modern civilization for a bit, we as a society would have greater appreciation and respect for both the natural world and the one we've created for ourselves. But on the other hand, the more people that visit these areas the less wild they become and the landscape ends up just getting trashed most of the time.
