What is the Black Spot sequence for someone who never read the book?

I figured it had to do with the Pirate Black Spot from Treasure Island and other stories. This is far more horrifying. Uncle Boogeyman posted:It doesn't reflect the racism angle of the Black Spot fire, but I used to freak myself out as a kid reading/hearing stories about The Cocoanut Grove fire. Nightclub fires are scary as hell. You don't have to read/imagine about it. Just watch the video of the Station Nightclub Fire as it happened to be permanently scared for life.

Why would a little girl even troll about that? There's nothing about that tweet that isn't deeply unsettling.

IT Part 2 is such a massive risk to take. Even if IT is a huge hit basically everything about it that people like won't be in the second one. It'll no longer be a period piece cashing in on 80s nostalgia and it won't have the young cast that people like. What's going to separate it from being just your standard modern day horror film?

Should have kept both parts in their original settings so that both films could work as a nostalgic period piece.

So when does the review embargo drop?

I want this to be good so so bad. Yes I know RT scores aren't everything but I'm hoping to see this in the 90s and for it to be a huge box office hit.

35 in at 97% Gotta account for the fact that the people who received the earliest screenings might have been seen as more susceptible to giving a positive review. But still a great sign.

Just saw It. It was awesome. I'm sure that the scene with the boys in their undies staring at an undressed Bev made Stephen King very proud.

I thought casting Adam Driver as a teenage bully was an interesting choice.

It just hit me that Belch's Anthrax t-shirt was a subtle King nod since the album's titular song Among the Living is about The Stand.

I saw IT for a second time today. Where during my first showing the audience in my theater really enjoyed Ritchie's humor this time it fell completely flat. It was really strange.

According to Finn Wolfhard all of Richies swearing was adlibbed which is kind of impressive.

Danny in the Shining didn't even know he was staring in a horror movie.

Curry's IT is a creepy adult in a clown costume while the new IT is a demon in clown form.

So IT is trending for a 60+million second weekend, all but ensuring an over 300 million domestic gross. That's unreal.

When I saw the movie on opening night they carded me when they took my ticket at the door but the theater was still full of teenage girls. Not sure how that happened.

If it weren't for Curry that poo poo would probably be looked at worse than the Langoliers miniseries.
