Barkley should have gotten a yellow for that.

and Clyne shouldve been booked for pulling down Baines. I'd like to think the ref is trying to keep his cards in his pocket, but I think its more down to the fact he is just the leagues shittest referee.

Robles positioning looked way off for the goal. Bad defending all over the show.

Lol Clyne's pullback was definitely not a booking, and certainly not on the same level as Barkley's challenge

It was a cynical pull of the shirt to bring him down to stop a break, its usually a booking any day of the week. Obviously not on the same level as a bad challenge, but it doesnt mean its not a yellow.

Barkley and Gueye have been shockingly bad.

We are badly missing Schneiderlin, he'd been our best player since he joined. Also the inexperience in our side is really showing through. it was a great finish from coutinho but we really shouldnt be giving him the space to do that

The decision to put the young lad up against Coutinho has turned out to be a bit of a shocker. Though, put him on the other side and you'll have Mane pulling him away

Didnt really have any other choice though, we've got no right back cover for Coleman. Mori could've filled in there but he's injured as well. He's put Lennon at right back before but that's not really an option here.

lol at Barkley having another poo poo touch and following it up with another stupid challenge. He's an absolute loving liability when he has one of his braindead games like this.

Outstanding. Your best player goes off injured and our response is to concede immediately to the sub. What the hell is robles doing? And Williams for that matter?

You can still be nervous about the derby. Eventually Everton will beat us at Anfield, it's just going to happen at some point. With depleted squads on both sides this one could have been it.

Heres the rule: the more likely we are to win a derby, the more certain we are to lose it. Every time there is even just a modicum of expectation on us, we immediately crumble under the pressure. Carragher is spot on when he says we freeze, too many in our side are total bottlers.

Last time we won a derby at anfield was 1999. I was still at school. :(

We've won four times since then (the last being in 2010), but they've all been at goodison.
