So I think it's a pretty obvious theory that magilla gorilla climbed the wall, converted Conni's town (maybe others?) into titans and then used his small titan army to clear the way and capture some maneuver gear. Now he's climbed it back out, and left the titans to do whatever. Anyone disagree with that? I don't think those titans are active at night, but that they were providing an escort for magilla and were just attacking any humans within distance of him. It was probably a one-time exception kind of thing. The big question is why does magilla gorilla want a sample of the maneuver gear. He could have very easily just destroyed all the walls. It seems to be that he's working towards a different purpose than the human titans from Season 1. They want to end humanity, where as I get the feeling that the civilization within the walls is more of an ant farm for magilla. He wants to know what those humans are up to and gently caress with them on occasion but doesn't want to wipe humanity out. I think the fact that he climbed over the walls is the biggest argument for this. I would not be completely shocked if he repaired the other walls too. So then I wonder, why do the human titans want to destroy the walls? Obviously the forces existed long before them to destroy the walls but it never happened. My guess is that the human titans work for a faction that realize they're on an ant farm and want to face their captors. Since they haven't shown themselves in the entirety of the walls existence, they have to be drawn out. So by loving up the walls and bringing humanity closer to extinction, it forces the captors hand to investigate/repair the damage to save it, and maybe we'll see the armored and giant titan fight magilla! Surprisingly Dope posted:Man the hiatus really destroyed a large part of the audience for this show, huh? The 1st season thread would get poo poo tons of posts. I'm sure some of the reduction is due to the forums dying, but still. Honestly I don't see a lot of people talking about it anywhere. I only knew to start watching it because a friend told me it was running again.

Why'd they squander the hype after season 1 and delay season 2 for so long? Was the manga not very far along or what?

I can't think of another explanation about that language other than it's an ancient one from before the walls. However, there's no way any canned goods are going to last 100 years, so I wonder if someone or some group is smuggling in goods from outside the wall. Why would anyone do that though?

No he's definitely escaping. The castle they're in is right next to the wall they're checking for a hole, which is the outer wall. At this point I definitely think there are at least 3 groups of titan shifters and that they are not working together. Possibly more. First you have the beast titan group, who are not aware of how the OMD gear works and want a sample. Second you have the group that is comprised of the armored titan, giant titan, and the female titan, which have been living within the walls at least some time and have access to OMD gear without needing to make a scene to steal it. Finally, you have Ymir and probably some of her allies somewhere. Eren is the exception to the others in that his father learned/was part of one of the groups and titanification process and used the serum on Eren. What I think is interesting is that there are different "types" of titans. The beast titan is part beast, while the wall breaker titans had tons of exposed muscle. Finally you have Ymir and Eren who are pretty "normal" looking by titan standards. It could be there are different methods or syrum recipes for titanification used by the different groups. He also hosed up the landing which was hilarious. You know if not for his ability he'd be back home sweeping floors.

I've thought Reiner was the armored Titan the whole time. It's been so long since S1 I can't really remember why exactly but I think his friend whose name I can never remember is the colossal Titan as well simply because they are best buds. I do remember the Annie thing with Reiner being one of the arguments that made a lot of sense.

Or they could have the Naruto studio do it so instead of having a 3 year break we get 3 years of straight filler.

Does that adjust for VA's working multiple roles/jobs? Like Does an A-lister maker $600K per role, or is that because they're voicing a character in every anime series at $30K each?

If you are in a Titan fight and live I think that automatically puts you in the "pretty good" category

I've never lost sight of how weird it is that in a medievalish setting they have precision machined gear that requires a constant supply of air from high pressure vessels. That kind of tech is really beyond what you can hand wave away in my opinion, and I think it alludes to there being more technologically advanced civilizations out there. The current royalty is probably the descendants of a group that split off from such a civilization, and regressed their society so that proper "humanity" would endure. The development and use of 3DMG is a necessary anachronism to protect their way of life from the Titans and shifters of the other civilization. There must be advanced factories deep in the interior of the walls that are manufacturing the gear and air cannisters. It could also be that the royalty originally split off so that they could rule regular humans and be worshipped and that the shifters are actually trying to "free" humanity, but I like to think that normal humans are fighting on the "good" side.
