I'm gonna give Sonic the edge. The Mega Man and X 1-3 have kick rear end amazing soundtracks. Some of the best in the medium. But once they get to the PS1 era, they become bland what has its. The other series Mega Man games just have white noise.

Sonic's always had great soundtracks. Even at some of their lowest points, people usually say "at least the music is good." And you got Michael loving Jackson doing the Genesis games, the campy buttrock of the Adventure games, the now adorable because enough time has passed edginess of nu-metal with Shadow's themes, to the pretty cool electro swing of the more modern Sonics.

Plus, Crush 40 is doing music for the upcoming theatrical Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Even if the movie is terrible, it'll be worth it for that.

Dr. Gitmo Moneyson posted:

I believe Michael Jackson only allegedly worked on Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and his involvement in that is pretty much an urban legend.

Your belief is about to be shattered because his involvement was straight up confirmed a year ago.
