There's bad luck, and there's telling the army to stand there and hold your beer while you charge into the enemy without resting from your last three defeats. Turning up the difficulty sliders probably didn't help either. I look forward to seeing Joanne/Lady Baja's concussed stagger towards greatness!

Gotta say, this LP got me to start playing the game and I'm having a blast. I got so close to wiping out the Vaegirs before the Nords I was fighting for declared peace. Boooo. I wanted that castle, capture myself a fief. I'd sign up, but I don't want to commit to anything as far out as July. I'll keep an eye out for when the list shortens though!

Poil posted:The pathfinding skill makes sense though, as does having horses to carry your loot and grapes. But I remember reading that having lots of horses in your inventory actually slows you down. Well yeah, horses are heavy. Carrying those things would slow you the hell down. I like that you can just wander into a city under siege, no one gives a poo poo. Buy all their food, sell them all yours, whatever, the siege is happening all the way over on the walls. I'm not sure if the prison break bug has to do with whether you're actually at war? I know I rescued a prisoner from a force I was actually the enemy of and they still acted like that, I had to hunt down all the archers so I could escape.

Just watched the fourth episode, the practice exercises in training grounds do give experience to the troops that can benefit from them.
