Stanced BRZ/FRS, didn't catch which one. It was purple and plastered with various stance culture stickers and the vanity plate BAE RZ and a obnoxious fart can, and the guy was driving on the highway out near Santa Barbara in mild traffic on his phone texting someone. Passed me and it was super obvious his tires were rubbing bad, and then when I caught up to him I could smell burning rubber.

Loads of BMW 3's and Mercedes C's in North Atlanta. Not because they're unreliable, but because people buy them and haven't a clue as to how expensive routine maintenances (and tires) can be.

Ask me about my neighbor with the A4 2.0 Quattro that was rolling around on his spare for 2 months. :cripes:

Alright, let's do this
Two things, on the same stretch of interstate but different times. First was an 18 wheeler still moving under it's own power but belching white smoke over 3 mile stretch, it looked like a steam train. He was on the shoulder when I came back the other way 5 hours later, and sat there for a couple days.

A couple days ago I saw a pickup with the driveshaft hanging underneath, somehow it had come out of the differential.

I saw one that struck me as odd on my way back from Baltimore last week. A 2007-2014 Tahoe, no plates or evidence of damage. It was somewhere in rural WV or KY. Seemed a bit nice to be dumped. I also saw a murano with some 24's but that was less of shock given the choice of rims. Still in rural WV/KY. Also passed 2 fatalities from a rolled GMC envoy near Anna, WV. Coroner had tarps to hide the bodies and poo poo was all over. Guessing no seat belts.

Honda Civics that people have taken a black rattlecan to

Hugh G. Rectum

I saw a Tesla Model S P85 getting loaded on a flatbed on 580W the other week. The car looked fine, I wonder if he ran out of charge before he could make it to a supercharger or something. Only one I've seen broken down so far and they are all over the place in the Bay Area.

Plenty of Civics and Crown Vics on I-85N/S and I-285. Usually with worn/flat tires and the yellow 'impound' sticker on them.

Also: A lot of tuner/stance cars abandoned around the Atlanta interstate.

A silver/grey sedan missing the rear half of the roof (like the roof and center and rear pillars had been cut away and replaced by what appeared to be either clear plastic or packing tape) on the shoulder with a tweaker-looking woman in it being jumped by a beat up Toyota wagon that was blocking one out of two lanes.

About two blocks later I also saw a rattlecan black Civic with tinted windows, no windshield and a bunch of roof damage driving through a intersection.

Saw a bunch of tire in the road and smelled smoke. A mile or so later, there's a AAA truck behind an RV that had been flat-towing a pickup with two blown tires on the driver's side, the front one still smoking.

I was behind a late-model (~2004) BMW 3-series that blew the radiator, huge puff of steam and a big splash of coolant on Rt.6 bear Brewster, MA. I tried to signal the woman driving, but she ignored me and pulled off the next exit. I was on my way to a funeral, so... I guess that'll be a new engine. GDCS!

Calling an E46 late-model in 2017 would be the same as calling the E30 late-model in 2004.

Chrysler 200. Not sure if the car was abandoned or the driver was in the process of being arrested, there was a cop car behind it.

Mid 90's Escort Wagon. It was missing the driver's side mirror and the rear hatch window.

Busy day on 93 into Vegas.

Current-generation Honda Civic with the hood up.

Ford Expedition pulled over on the wrong side of the road. May have been there to help what looked like a Ford Fusion lying on its side about 100 feet off the other side of the highway.

A Silverado and a Scion XB pulled over with both hoods up, behind a large pickup pulling what looked like an enclosed car trailer. Odd place for a jump...don't know if or who was broken down.

S-10 pickup getting hauled up on a flatbed.

Buick Enclave stopped in the middle of nowhere, hood up.

Oh yeah, on the way out, there were some jackasses pulled over on the shoulder taking a picture. The photographer was about a foot from the white line, their car was barely any further. I think the open door was actually in my lane.

Passion’s Wrench
Bad storm on I 20 in Texas yesterday, in the span of 2 miles I saw in the median:
*18 wheeler flatbed with front bumper torn off, right behind
*18 wheeler tanker jack knifed and leaking diesel
*18 wheeler car hauler in the grass, it had no clearance so he probably hosed up something, will need a tow
*18 wheeler that was heading west, went through the median to my eastbound side, wire barrier didn't do poo poo

Also yesterday, in Shreveport some 18 wheeler lost his left steer tire, popped off the rim. He made it safe to the hard shoulder.

Not technically dead

But I saw 3 really nice looking AC VWs in a tight convoy going down the interstate. Bringing up the rear was a cummins dodge with an empty car trailer.

Trip on 93 from vegas today, which never disappoints.

Possibly broken down:
Big GMC pickup hauling a slat sided trailer
Late model BMW 3 series.

Definitely broken down:
Late model corolla
Late 90s Seville with a missing front right tire. Wheel was there, but no tire.
Early 2000s caravan
Early 2000s f150
Nissan juke
Volvo truck

I certainly hope so.

We started seeing a lot less of that when our town made a law classifying rolling coal as a display of speed like drag racing. I don't think they enforced it much, but the threat of six points on your license was enough.

If you're still in Cheyenne, I imagine it's a lot worse.
