One of the wheels, on the other hand, on the other side of the intersection in the parking lot of a convenience store. It looks like it lost the lug nuts or sheared the studs, and when the car stopped, the left rear wheel kept right on truckin'.

I saw this happen before, but it was a late second gen, and a front wheel. I offered my jack to the guy, but he was apparently in a hurry because he just pinned it and used the throttle to keep most of the weight off the front end. Left the wheel sitting there on the side of the road and everything. :shrug:
